Perry is the founding director of GR8 and his experience in property extends back to the mid-1990s. Prior to moving into property, he was in the affiliated roles of financial planning and finance broking, commencing in financial services with the AMP Society in March 1989 and later becoming one of the earliest licensed Finance Brokers in Western Australia. All of this early experience was steering Perry and GR8 (as was to become) into the very specialised area of property investment, and in time, building our dedicated team of Specialist Disability Accommodation Providers. From 2000 the main focus became project marketing and building the business of GR8 into what it has become today.
More recently Perry’s role has moved to business development and strategic planning which has seen the business shift to the complex but rewarding niche of NDIS and NRAS property investment. With NRAS coming to an end in 2026 and new NRAS entries now at a minimum, the introduction of NDIS is seen as the obvious transition and in keeping with GR8 Property’s identifying and exploring new niche markets and strategic opportunities.
Stephanie is the licensee for GR8 Property and serves as a Director along with Perry and Tania Kleppe. Joining GR8 as the lead property manager in April 2007, after 7 years in a similar role with a highly regarded agency in Perth’s wealthy Western Suburbs, Stephanie then completed a Diploma in Real Estate, allowing her to become the Licensee in the business in 2008.
Stephanie was first identified to GR8 Property as a high-quality property manager when managing property in Perry & Tania’s personal portfolio. A measure of Stephanie’s excellence, high performance and loyalty to the business is her accrual of 20% equity in the business based on a series of key performance targets achieved by the business as a result of her inputs.
Ian Barr has had a lifetime exposure & experience with disabled people, worked in property investment & financial services space for over 20 years & now through the NDIS Ian has had an opportunity to combine his experience, skills & connections to assist our disabled people transition into new independent, dignified “fit for purpose” dwellings.
There is a lot of collective efforts required to address the current NDIS dwelling shortfall, plus the ongoing requirements, therefore the coordination of much needed accommodation for “All Ability” people is vital to ensure they have the opportunity of independent accommodation & have an opportunity to “fulfill their full potential” with appropriate dwelling opportunities.
Around 90% of current NDIS participants nationally are housed in non-compliant outdated accommodation, hospitals, aged care facilities or with parents adapting the best they can.
Existing Supply of new All Ability accommodation is not addressing the current shortfall or the growing monthly approvals.
Ian’s lifetime exposure and experience with disabled people has come from a number of diversities, from growing up with a disabled father, being a father of a disabled adult child through a car accident, teaching disabled students from year 8 to year 12 in the WA education system.
