Ian Barr has had a lifetime exposure & experience with disabled people, worked in property investment & financial services space for over 20 years & now through the NDIS Ian has had an opportunity to combine his experience, skills & connections to assist our disabled people transition into new independent, dignified “fit for purpose” dwellings.
There is a lot of collective efforts required to address the current NDIS dwelling shortfall, plus the ongoing requirements, therefore the coordination of much needed accommodation for “All Ability” people is vital to ensure they have the opportunity of independent accommodation & have an opportunity to “fulfill their full potential” with appropriate dwelling opportunities.
Around 90% of current NDIS participants nationally are housed in non-compliant outdated accommodation, hospitals, aged care facilities or with parents adapting the best they can.
Existing Supply of new All Ability accommodation is not addressing the current shortfall or the growing monthly approvals.
Ian’s lifetime exposure and experience with disabled people has come from a number of diversities, from growing up with a disabled father, being a father of a disabled adult child through a car accident, teaching disabled students from year 8 to year 12 in the WA education system.
